Saturday's bite at Port Aransas was solid from sun-up. The morning action came hot—redfish were cooperative on paddle tails and live bait, and we boated four to ten per angler depending on the crowd. That slightly stained water with the ESE wind at 17 knots had them feeding predictable. Mid-day stayed productive, picked up some flounder to keep things interesting.
Average-sized fish, no bruisers, but that's typical for late June. The eighty-five-degree temp and broken clouds kept it comfortable on deck. This is the pattern we're seeing right now on the flats—early bite is your best window, then you can stay productive through the day if you stay patient and work the structure.
